About the project
Many children speak a different language at home than at school. Other children receive little school-relevant language stimulation at home. However, having a certain vocabulary and specific school-related skills at the time of school entry is considered extremely helpful for a successful academic career. Our project supports families and professionals in this process!
The project, funded by the European Commission, is designed to support multilingualism and language preparation for preschool children. It provides essential tools and resources to help children adapt to their new school language environment.
The free offer includes a comprehensive handbook developed for parents and educators, providing strategies and activities to support language development both at home and in educational settings. The app offers children entertaining, interactive language exercises that make improving a language enjoyable and accessible. The platform offers practical tips and guides tailored to the needs of families, suitable for people with prior knowledge and those new to multilingualism.
The goal is to improve the language skills of preschool children to facilitate their transition to primary school, support families in preserving their home language while learning the school/educational language, promote a love for language and an appreciation of cultural diversity, and provide parents with practical, everyday support to strengthen their children's linguistic and cognitive skills.
